For Easter long weekend, we decided to escape and venture off to Invermere, B.C. It’s a short and enjoyable 3 and a half hour drive. Yet, it felt like a world away – a far cry from the bustling city streets of Calgary. Life was much simpler there.
Time moves a bit slower (not slow enough) and the fresh air and open space made the stress from the week begin to melt away like clockwork. The weather didn’t exactly cooperate – it was still slightly cool outside – but we still got to enjoy some steaks on the BBQ, jumping around in the sunshine and cozying up by the fireplace. It was the perfect getaway for me to study for my exam that is coming up this weekend without feeling completely dreadful about having to study over a long weekend, all the while A still got to enjoy his time off.
