Palace of Versailles

Palace of Versailles

On our last day in Paris, we took a train out to visit the Palace of Versailles. This place is every bit as magical as it’s portrayed and no amount of words or pictures can really do this royal château justice.

I’ve never been one to wish that I lived in the 1700s but if I was Marie Antoinette and my King built me this palace, then yes please! We had a rather eventful journey trying to get back into Paris afterwards due to some train issues. To make matters worse, we had impeccable timing and decided to leave at the same time that Versailles was closing for the day so the train station was packed with a whole lot of confused and angry people.

I thought I would save the stories and just post a photo diary to capture as much beauty as I could and for my own mini escape from reality.
